Here you will find the various Root Server Confederations that currently exist. Use these resources for configuring your ISP's DNS or that of your local machines in order to resolve the Inclusive Name Space.

Also included here for legacy reasons is the Alternate, Deprecated ICANN Legacy system - a relatively small offering in the DNS name space.

The Public-Root is an international, not-for-profit, federation of independent root operators and community stakeholders.

Root operators can be corporations, chartered organizations or government agencies.

Membership in the Public-Root is open to all organizations willing to support open access to root infrastructure.

Public root operators support the Internet community by providing uniform access to data elements that support the resolution of Top-Level Domains (TLDs) in the domain name system (DNS).

Public root operators are responsible for the operation and technical management of the Internet's DNS root system.

The Cesidian Root is an independent root (or Internet) started by the President of the Fifth World Council on 30 September 2005, and for the benefit of Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Worlders who wish to utilise this resource for reasons of independence and/or national security.

The WordRoot RSC is an Internet DNS Root Server Network that contains all known Top-level domains and in which collisions are resolved by a simple First-Come, First Serve algorithm.

Name.Space, based in New York City, has developed and deployed an advanced system of domain name registration, operating new Top Level Domains (TLDs) since 1996, lighting up new domain names in real time, bringing automation and high efficiency to the new nameservice industry.

ORSC was once a prominent public forum and RSC in the days before the InterNIC and NSI were hi-jacked by ICANN, following the death of Jon Postel (AKA IANA, which was also absorbed).

Founded by theoreticians in the BWG that had participated in the IAHC process while Jon was still with us, the organization is now a defunct organization, although there is still an operational RSC on autopilot.
